ANZAC Day Long Weekend
Make a break for it! Plan your long weekend getaway and take a little detour – just 30 minutes from Melbourne.

For those lucky enough to snap up a voucher from the Victorian Travel and Dining Voucher Scheme, it’s the perfect opportunity to stay for the weekend and take in some of the region’s top attractions and tours.

Take a moment to reflect
If you’d like to take a moment on ANZAC Day to reflect and commemorate our veterans who have served and are serving now, you can do so at the War Memorial in Werribee City Centre. This cenotaph was unveiled in 1920 and remains an important site for community gatherings and commemoration.

On Sunday 24 April, there will be an ANZAC Commemorative Parade from 2:20pm – 3:30pm. Public viewing will be on the footpath from Wedge Street to Duncans Road. The parade will make its way along Watton Street to the cenotaph at Station Place for a ceremony and then disperses into Kelly Park.

On ANZAC Day, Monday 25 April, the Werribee RSL will hold a Dawn Service. Public viewing will be at Station Place on the intersection between Duncans Road and Watton Street. Formalities will be from approximately 6am - 7am.

Explore Werribee Park Mansion
Explore the stunning interiors of Werribee Park Mansion and listen to the stories of this grand old building with an audio tour. Take time to explore the grounds including the original farm buildings and heritage orchard. Werribee Park Mansion is open throughout the long weekend including ANZAC Day from 10.00 am - 5.00 pm.

Go on safari
Werribee Open Range Zoo is open across the long weekend with advance booking required. Tickets are available to book 30 days in advance and kids under 16 are free on weekends and Victorian public holidays.
